Covid-19 Update

On behalf of our providers and staff, our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic that is affecting our world.   We understand that there are uncertainties during this time, but our practice is committed to providing medical care to our patients and doing our best to keep everyone safe and virus free.   With this in mind, we are making some changes to our schedules to help navigate through this global health crisis and also take care of our patients.

Any patient that has a temperature of 100.4 or higher OR has a cough, runny nose, and difficulty breathing, should call our office to reschedule your appointment and go to the drive-through COVID-19 screening station at Smith Northview Hospital on N. Valdosta Road.  The hours are 8am-5pm and this is free for all patients.   If you are pregnant with these symptoms, we ask that you go to the screening station but also call and advise us.

If you are 65 and older or are immunosuppressed and are coming for a routine visit, please call us to reschedule for another time.

If you are not exhibiting any signs or symptoms, you may keep your scheduled appointments but we are taking precautionary measures to keep everyone safe.

  • All patients will be checked-in from outside the building and we will be checking temperatures.  We ask that you wait in your vehicle until we are ready to take you back to the clinic to limit exposure.
  • No visitors/children will be allowed to accompany patients for their appointment in an effort to limit the number of people in our lobbies and exam rooms.   The only exceptions are minor patients and disabled/special needs patients who require caretaker assistance.
  • All elective surgeries will be postponed on a week by week basis.  We will contact you if you have an upcoming surgery posted and need to be rescheduled.
  • All prenatal classes (breastfeeding, epidural and childbirth) will be postponed until further notice.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding during this time.   If you have any questions, please give us a call at 229.241.2800
